Small Business Improvement Program

Dominion Energy Virginia’s Small Business Improvement Program provides customers with an on-site energy assessment of your facility. Qualifying customers can receive incentives for making energy efficiency improvements identified during the assessment.

How did you hear about the Small Business Improvement Program?


Participation is Easy

  1. Find out if you qualify.
  2. Find a participating contractor to get started.
  3. Your contractor will work with you to schedule your energy assessment and walk you through the incentive process. During and after your energy assessment, your contractor will:
    • Conduct a walk-through of your facility, which can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete, depending on your facility size and improvement needs.
    • Make recommendations for certain direct install measures that can be installed immediately with minimal effort and investment.
    • Submit the rebate application for work completed on-site, on your behalf.

Program Details

After your energy assessment your contractor will recommend improvement measures you can implement to lower your energy usage. Your rebate amount* will depend on the measures that are performed and other factors. Upgrade measures may include:

  • Lighting Measures
  • HVAC System Tune-Up
  • Duct Testing & Sealing
  • HVAC Upgrades

Rebate Applications

Rebate applications for the SBI program are organized based on the measures performed. Click on the links below to download a rebate application. These applications are unique to the SBI program.

Rebate Details

Please allow up to 90 days from the date all required information is received to process your rebate. Payment will be issued to the participating contractor unless the customer has elected to receive the rebate. Rebates payable to customers are sent to the mailing address on record with Dominion Energy.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all requirements for the rebate are met. Failure to provide any of the required information will delay processing of your application and could result in non-payment.
